Today, I was able to go two doors down from where I am staying to pick donut sized nasturtium leaves to stuff inside a rainbow trout. The daisy pouches that were reaching to me through the neighbors fence was wilted with crispy mushrooms and Bok choy. Tell me that it is not amazing to have so many healthy and lively ingredients so close at hand.
This city really is beautiful and clean. There is an air about the people that no other city has. "I'll get there when I get there" is usually the general mindset. There is minimal honking and the streets don't smell like something is rotting below them.
I'm very excited to start cooking in this lovely city.
