Oh my god Jeff Scheer...

To say that Maui is small dark and eery is an extreme understatement. As soon as we left "Maui car rental in Maui", everything went black like the midnight skies. Our trek to mill house restaurant was quite adventurous and almost terrifying.
The meal we were about to indulge in was the only thing that drove us to the restaurant. And what a meal it was. There comes a time in every cooks life where a customer orders the entire menu; one of each item offered. For cooks that is a slight nightmare. As the diner, it was one of the greatest experiences in a restaurant I have had.

As you approach the restaurant, you are surrounded by soothing lights and sounds. Little did we know that this was to be the center of a town. This bit was slightly creepy due to the fact that the path kept going for what felt like eternity.

Once we had our drinks in hand, the ruckus began. Course after course of flavor explosions just kept coming our way. There was a point where there were 5 different plates out at once. But we didn't complain. The bone marrow was soft and light with just the right amount of salt. Each bite you took of the scallop would gently swim around your palate as the cucumber and citrus brightened it to a different level. And my favorite, the Ragu over papardelle was so moist and light that it was as if we were not eating a stewed meat. Incredible. For anyone who goes to Maui, this is a must see.
It was only 11 pm when we finally checked into the hotel. I sure do love when so many things take place in such a short amount of time.
To be continued... Again...
